Equiped with
the System 23 Game board assembly. The Deluxe model of the
Motocross Go uses pneumatic control for the bike motion and the motor feedback for
the handle.

The choice of pneumatic control over electric
motors allows more suitable and accurate simulation. Two air
springs positioned approximately below the seat can lift the
front or the back of the bike and let you feel the texture of the
terrain and the vibration of the motor. The left and the right
inclination of the bike is controlled by the air cylinder in the
base of the bike assembly. The feedback force for the handle bar
is provided by an electric motor.
The base of the bike assembly is also housing
the Air Valve Assy containing 5 air valves, AMC PCB (controlling
the motor and the air valves), ASCA-1B PCB (handling inputs &
outputs). The base of the projector unit is housing the System 23
Board Assy and the compressor.
A few differences can be noticed when comparing
this system to the previous System 22.
- The main game board requires +5V, +12V and
3.3V. The 3.3V is another logic voltage, seen more and
more used in designs of modern microprocessor based
circuits.
- The main game board does not handle switch
inputs and analog inputs (potentiometers) directly. All
input devices are connected to the ASCA-1B PCB
(input/output PCB).
- There is a serial communication between
the Main PCB (the Game Board) , the ASCA-1B PCB and the
AMC PCB i.e. this arrangement simplifies the machine
wiring as only 4 wires are needed to make the connection
between these boards.
GAME OPTION SETTINGS.
As would be expected this machine can work in
link mode with up to 4 machines linked together. The option
setting allows a fair bit of adjustment of the game difficulty.
There are 3 courses beginners, intermediate and advanced.
Each course is individually adjustable. 4 levels of difficulty
are available.
TEST MODE
A good set of tests is provided to test all
inputs and outputs including the pneumatic control.
Same as with the earlier System 22 , "Bike
Initialization " (input initialization) must be carried out
when the game board or potentiometers are replaced.
